We provide editing services targeted to authors who are writing in the academic nonfiction, fiction, and (auto)biographical genres. We work directly with authors who have been referred by their publishing houses, self-published authors, and scholars writing essays for journal publication and books for traditional and electronic presses. We also work with authors and researchers who are responsible for writing corporate reports and data summaries and with web content providers.
Our reputation is built upon our strong academic editing credentials. Since 2002, Editors For Students and its founder and managing editor, Jim Peterson, have provided editing services to authors writing in these genres, and we built Off the Grid Editing for you: scholars and authors who are no longer students.
Through Editors For Students, we've helped authors to publish in such presses as Wiley and Rowman & Littlefield and have worked with self-published authors to bring their books to press. At Off the Grid, we've divided our editing service into two offerings: line editing and copy editing. This allows us to nuance and tailor our approach to the needs of scholarly writers who are no longer students and who need their books and articles prepared for publication.
We'd like to work with you on anything that you have to send us. We edit individual chapters and essays, and we also provide express editing services for authors who need a fast turnaround to meet a pending deadline. As we grow our business, we'd like your writing career to grow with us. Let us know what you need. We'll be there for you. That's a promise.
